Another rockslide in Keremeos

There was a small rockslide west of Keremeos Friday afternoon, in the same spot as a major rockslide in January.

There were unconfirmed reports that two cars were damaged in the incident, but there were no reported injuries.

One of the vehicles involved was located in an impound lot at a nearby gas station and there didn't appear to be any visible damage to the vehicle.

RCMP could not be reached to confirm whether they had impounded any vehicles.

Then just after 6 p.m. there were reports of more rocks falling in the same spot.

Jordy Bosscha fire chief of the Keremeos Volunteer Fire Department said "there might be a couple of more rocks, but nothing major."

DriveBC has not posted any highway closures at this time.
