Naramata hit by graffiti

Naramata has been hit hard by graffiti in recent days, according to RDOS director Karla Kozakevich.

The locations include Old Main Road near Manitou Park, the pump house at Wharf Park and at the school.

"We haven't had an incident in a couple of years, and then four hits in three days is pretty bad," she said.

A witness who saw the suspects Sunday at Manitou, does not believe they are local. 

They are described as a 6 foot one inch blonde male, 18 to 20-years-old, wearing a tank top, flat brim hat and turquoise blue DC shoes and a 5 foot 10 inch male with short dark hair, about 18 to 20-years-old, who has enlarged earlobes with black plastic rings in them.

The incidents have been reported to the Penticton RCMP. People who see the suspects or any suspicious activity are asked to contact the police.

Some of the graffiti has been cleaned up, but there is still more work to be done.
