Oliver fire still investigated

There is no update available on the cause of a fire in Oliver that destroyed a house and badly damaged MLA Linda Larson's office.

There are two potential points of origin and no confirmed source of ignition, and the fire remains in the category of undetermined, said Oliver RCMP Sgt. Ken Harrington.

A family was displaced after the large fire roared through their home at 6363 Main Street on April 21.

There has since been an outpouring of support from the community for the couple and their children.

At the time, Larson stated she planned to work from home until another office could be set up.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
