Hedley murder investigation ongoing

The murder of Douglas Smith In Hedley remains under investigation a year after his death.

Smith, 55, was murdered inside his trailer on a property at 1039 Cawston Avenue between March 5 and 6, 2013, according to the RCMP.

Officers are seeking public assistance for further information regarding the investigation.

Anyone who was in contact with Smith on those dates, who has not yet spoken to police, is asked to call investigators.

Smith moved with his young family to Hedley in 1981. He worked as a truck driver and was known in the community for his generosity.
