Firefighters' campout a success

Penticton firefighters raised $16,670 for muscular dystrophy, during the second annual rooftop campout, held at Safeway.

The funds will be donated to improve the quality of life for people with neuromuscular disorders by purchasing mobility equipment, providing support services and funding research.

The firefighters who camped out last week on the roof of Safeway in the freezing cold, say they were overwhelmed by the generosity of the public and their supporters

They sent out thanks to their corporate partners, as well as to the Muscular Dystrophy Canada South Okanagan Volunteer Chapter for partnering with them.
