Downtown revitalization kick off

Representatives from the city of Penticton and Downtown Penticton Association will kick off the construction phase of the Martin Street/Westminster Avenue revitalization on Wednesday.

The project was designed to create a western gateway into the downtown that builds on the energy created in the area by the new cinema and brewery currently in the works.

Participants will say a few words and then hang colourful fence screens that depict how vibrancy is under construction in the downtown.

The kick off at 2 p.m. marks a significant milestone in the council strategic priority of downtown revitalization, according to city officials.
