Two arrested in Penticton drug bust

Two men were arrested Wednesday after police in Penticton raided a motel room on Westminster Avenue.

RCMP Cpl Brad Myhre, says a 29-year-old man was arrested for possession of heroin.

Shortly after the first arrest, a 22-year-old Penticton man showed up at the motel in possession of cocaine.

He was also arrested.

The first man was released with a promise to appear in court in March on a charge of possession of heroin.

The second man, Levi Darrin Savard faces a charge of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

He was remanded in custody.

Police also found three young children had been living in the room where the search warrant was executed.

They were allowed to leave with their mother.

The Ministry of Children and Families have been notified.
