Fire at bistro in Keremeos

Update at 8:50: Fire fighters may have the fire contained at this point, firefighters have asked for fans on one side of the building. The fire may have started upstairs, as the bistro, according to a witness, appears to be okay. At this point there has been no word about tenants.

8:06 p.m.: A large fire has broken out Saturday evening at a bistro on 6th Avenue in Keremeos.

The fire deparment is in attendance, and is asking that 'looky loos' please stay back, as they are getting in the way of the firefighters.

The top floor of the building, which appears to be at least two apartments, is burning fast.
