Cocaine off the street

RCMP seized cocaine in Penticton Thursday morning.

Drug task force officers stopped a vehicle on Wade Avenue and arrested the driver, a 36-year-old male from Penticton. Immediately following the vehicle stop the officers executed a drug search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of Wade Avenue.

At the address, the officers discovered a quantity of cocaine packaged for street level sales and associated drug trafficking items.

The male, who has no criminal record, was released to appear in court on Mar. 26. He faces a charge of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
