Celebration of life planned for burn victim
Friends and family members of Deleyne Hunter plan to celebrate her life at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Owl Pub in Osoyoos.
Hunter, 52, succumbed to her injuries the day after a fierce fire tore through the duplex she lived in in Osoyoos, last Friday morning.
The second victim of the fire in the home on 92nd Avenue was Sheldon Hall, 41, according to the RCMP. He is currently in stable but serious condition at the Vancouver General Hospital burn unit.
He sustained serious burns to approximately 35 per cent of his body from the intense fire. Family members of Hunter, have stated that percentage was downgraded.
After an examination of the fire scene by investigators, the cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
