Pair involved in mailbox thefts, charged

Court dates have been set for the man and woman involved in a number of thefts and break ins, including mail thefts, in Keremeos and surrounding areas.

Lisa Roseanne Carlisle, who is charged with theft, had a court date on Wednesday, while the next date for Michael Stanley Minchau, also charged with theft, is Jan. 29.

According to information provided by the RCMP, at approximately 3 a.m. on Jan. 13, the Keremeos RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Olalla.

A male and female, both from Keremeos, were subsequently arrested when it was observed they were in the process of stealing license plates from another vehicle.

Further investigation revealed the pair could be responsible for the other thefts and break-ins, including the mail theft.

At the time, multiple charges of theft were recommended against the 27-year-old woman and the 31-year-old man, who both have extensive criminal records.
