Car takes out the meat

A car crashed into the storefront at A & K Grimm's Sausage Saturday afternoon, according to store owner Kelly Grimm.

Grimm said the incident took place at 2:30 p.m., when an elderly woman thought she had her foot on the brake, but it was on the gas.

The woman was shaken up, but OK, he said. The five employees and three customers in the store at the time were also OK, said Grimm.

There was substantial damage to the front of the building and about $3,000 in merchandise was lost.

"This has never happened before," said Grimm. "It is very unfortunate."
