Holiday empties support dry grad

The Penticton Senior Secondary School Dry Grad Committee will hold a bottle drive as part of their dry grad fundraising on Saturday Jan. 11.

Dry grad is an alcohol and drug free celebration of students'  achievements in completing their high school education. Parents, staff and members of the business community volunteer time and resources to stage an all night entertainment gathering at the high school gymnasium for more than 300 graduates,  following the prom on June 26.

"It is our goal to make a safe, fun and memorable event that will mark the end of one journey and beginning of another," said Lyndsay Blais, who along with fellow parent Tracey Cumming are co-chairs of the committee.

For donations, call (250) 328-4346, to arrange for pick up of bottles, cans and containers.
