New Year's celebrations in Penticton

Several Penticton establishments will open their doors to New Year's Eve revellers tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 31.

The Mule Nightclub on Martin Street will hold the second annual 'Make it Rain New Year's Eve', dropping $1,000 from the ceiling at midnight.

Tickets are $5, and are available at The Mule as well as at Green Beanz Cafe during the day.

The doors open at 9 p.m. and close at 4 a.m.

Voodoo's on Nanaimo Avenue E. will host a New Year's party, featuring different local bands. 

The party will start at 4 p.m. and last until the next morning.

TIckets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

A Kaleden New Year's Eve, Community Hall Dance will take place at 320 Lakehill Road in Kaleden.

Doors open at 8 p.m., and the party features Dale Seaman and Highway 97. Tickets cost $18 per person.

Tickets are available at the Kaleden Family Restaurant, Dog Town Coffee Shop, Twin Lakes Store and other locations in the South Okanagan.

There are plenty of ways to bring in the new year at the Penticton Lakeside Resort.

The Barking Parrot Bar will feature DJ Mike O'Mara, a champagne toast, party favours and fireworks. There is no cover.

At the Hooded Merganser Bar and Grill there will be live music with Gord McLaren, a champagne toast and fireworks.
