Summerland to Penticton new bus rates
After a two-month grace period, transit users in Summerland will now be forced to pay fares for the first time on their new fixed route service.
The new service includes important destinations within Summerland such as the library and Health Centre, while also linking customers to Penticton with four daily round trips on weekdays.
The new fares come into effect Jan. 1, and will cost riders $2 within Summerland and $4 to Penticton each way, with tickets only sold in packs of 10.
A sheet of tickets for trips within Summerland are $18 ($1.80 per trip) and a sheet of 10 tickets for trips to Penticton are $36 ($3.60 per trip). Monthly passes are $50 and are good for travel on routes both within Summerland and to Penticton.
Tickets and passes are available for purchase at Summerland Municipal Hall (13211 Henry Ave.) and the Summerland Aquatic Centre (13205 Kelly Ave.).
