Thieves hit mail boxes in the Oliver area

The Oliver RCMP detachment has received several complaints from Canada Post that there have been thefts from 53 mailboxes in the area.

The locations include the 5400 block of Black Sage Road, Seacrest Hill Road/Pampas Grass Way, 37400 block of Willowbrook Road, Fairview Road and West Avenue, 700 block of Seacrest Road and Pine Hill Road and Pine Hill Place.

As of the report filed earlier this week, it is unknown what exactly was stolen from the mailboxes.

The public was asked to be aware that thieves have targeted these locations and to make sure to check their post box and confirm that the box is secure.

If identifiable items such as cheques, credit cards or other items are missing, they are asked to contact the source of the items and complete the appropriate cancellation process.

If identifiable items were stolen from mailboxes, please contact the Oliver RCMP accordingly and report the loss.
