The Summerland Chamber of Commerce is aiming to inspire and inform small business owners during Small Business Week October 20-26.
First launched in BC in 1979, Small Business Week is celebrated throughout Canada and recognizes the outstanding contributions that small businesses make to our economy.
Events planned for the week include Stanley Cup Winner, author and motivational speaker, Ryan Walter, providing inspiration and leadership skills on October 22 at 7:00 pm at Centre Stage in Summerland. The first 150 ticket purchasers will also received an autographed copy of Ryan’s latest book “Hungry-Fuelling Your Best Game”.
October 23 & 24 will see Social Media Bootcamp workshops with Okanagan communications leader Allison Markin of All She Wrote Consulting. Attendees will enjoy appetizers and refreshments at the Summerland Waterfront Resort and take their social media strategies to the next level through Allison’s informative sessions. Ticket holders will be entered to win a 90 minute personal coaching session with Markin.
Summerland Chamber Board President, Arlene Fenrich, states “As a small business owner, I know how important it is to take time to refresh, gather new ideas, and be inspired. I believe these events will be great opportunities to do just that – and more importantly, they’ll be fun!”
Tickets for all events can be purchased from the Summerland Chamber office at 250-494-2686 or click here.
