The fire burns close to structures in Peachland.

The fire above Peachland is now over 100 hectares and it's growing. Houses and outbuildings have been destroyed.
Kamloops Fire Information Officer Kevin Skrepnek says, "It is very wind driven. It is the major factor contributing to the fires fast growth."
Skrepnek says they have 50 personnel working the fire and more are on the way.
"We have crews from: Penticton, Princeton, Merritt and we are expecting 15 to 20 from Kamloops to join the fight."
Witnesses report at least one home has been destroyed and several out buildings were completely engulfed by flames..
Peachland Fire Chief, Grant Topham says houses have been lost, but he would not say how many.
"We've got the fire heading towards the lake. We've got five divisions in different areas trying to keep it away from structures. There are Evacuation Orders and Alerts in Place."
West Kelowna and Kelowna fire crews are helping the Peachland department.
Initial reports say 1500 have been evacuated.
