For the first time this season, the Immaculata Mustangs are No. 2.
A 2-1 (20-25, 25-20, 12-15) power-pool loss to longtime rival Mt. Sentinel Wildcats of South Slocan on home court Thursday dropped the season-long No. 1 Mustangs down a rung going into Friday’s championship round of the B.C. School Sports’ provincial senior A girls volleyball tournament.
While the favoured Mustangs did win two of three matches on opening day of the 16-team event at Immaculata High School and Kelowna Christian School, the hosts weren’t as sharp as they have been most of the season, according to coach Kasandra Palmer.
