While the scoresheet would beg to differ, the Kelowna Chiefs showed a surprising amount of consistency in their Kootenay International Junior B Hockey League season-debut win on Saturday.
With 13 rookies in the lineup playing their first home game, the Chiefs scored all their goals in the first period on the way to a 4-2 decision over the Golden Rockets to even their early KIJHL record to 1-1 in front of about 400 fans at the Rutland Arena.
