New OK Rockets On Ice At CNC

The list of Okanagan Rockets graduates moving on to junior hockey continues to grow.

Forward Mahlon Head is the latest former Rocket making the jump, catching on with the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Estevan Bruins for the 2014-15 season. He becomes the second generation in his family to play for the team. Head’s father Tim suited up for the Bruins in the 1978-79 season.

The younger Head scored 15 goals and added 15 assists in 37 B.C. Major Midget Hockey League regular-season games and had a solid playoff run as the Rockets won the BCMMHL title, the Pacific Regional championship (defeating Red Deer) and a bronze medal at the Canadian midget tournament (Telus Cup) in Moose Jaw.
