Young Warriors Drop 7-2 Exhibition

Up against a more experienced Merritt Centennials lineup, the West Kelowna Warriors dropped at 7-2 B.C. Hockey League pre-season game on Monday in Merritt.

Leading 2-1 midway through the second period, the young Warriors, made up of nearly all players without BCHL experience, succumbed to a tenacious Cents squad in the latter stages of the game at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena. They managed just six shots the rest of the way. Three of those shots were given off of dump-ins or rolling pucks toward the goal.
