Evan Guthrie Will Pedal For Canada

Riding high after winning his first Canada Cup Series title, Evan Guthrie was over the top four days later when he got the call to represent Canada at the UCI world mountain bike championships in Norway.

The Peachland resident, in only his first year as a senior competitor, will be one of four elite Canadian men competing for the world cross country title Sept. 6 in Hafjell.

Guthrie, 23, was given the opportunity to be a part of Team Canada when Olympian Max Plaxton of Tofino opted out due to injury.
