Heat Soccer On Front Burner

With their much-anticipated inaugural CIS Canada West season less than three weeks away, the UBC Okanagan Heat men’s and women’s soccer teams took to the field for exhibition encounters on the weekend.

The Heat men scrimmaged with some old PacWest foes in Vancouver, while the women were in Kirkland, Wash. for a pair of games.

Up against the Douglas College Royals, the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association bronze medallist in 2013, the Heat men played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday, while UBCO doubled the Langara Falcons 2-1 on Sunday.
