Tie Costly For KWSL Reds

The Peacock Sheridan Group Reds’ odds of a first-place regular-season finish diminished in Week 18 of the Kelowna Women’s Soccer League.

PSG’s 2-2 draw with the Voyager RV Foxes at UBC Okanagan on Wednesday, combined with a 9-2 Mark V Autobody/Royal Star win over the Addicted Fitness All Stars, left the second-place Reds three points back of the league leaders in Division 1 with two games remaining.

Trailing 2-0 in the first half against the Foxes, Peacock Sheridan (13-2-3) responded by taking over the momentum late in the opening frame. Jenna Rever tipped in a rebound off the post following a well-placed corner kick by Melissa Ibbotson to cut the Foxes’ lead in half.
