Bantam A's Third In B.C.

A 2-2 record in round-robin play and a trip to the semifinals earned the Okanagan Athletics a tie for third place among 10 teams at the B.C. bantam AAA baseball championship tournament on the weekend.

Up against top-seeded Abbotsford Cardinals in semifinal play on Sunday at Edith Gay Park, the A’s trailed for most of the game. But, sparked by Noah Ringness-Law’s two-run double in the fifth inning, the hosts took a 5-3 lead, only to give it up in the sixth to suffer an 8-5 defeat.
