Central Okanagan Well Represented On B.C. Hoop Teams

The provincial team with the most Kelowna-area players recorded the best finish at the national under-15 and under-17 basketball championships in Edmonton.

Five Central Okanagan players — Ashlyn Day, Kaya Hanson, Courtney Donaldson, Kiara Gaspari and Monika Curtis — contributed the Team BC’s fourth-place finish at nationals.

Day, set to enter Grade 10 at Immaculata High School where she helped the senior Mustangs win a provincial A title as a Grade 9 last season, was a dominant presence for the provincial team at nationals.
