BC Games Medal Haul For Zone 2

The Thompson-Okanagan A (Zone 2) boys 3-on-3 basketball team won six of eight games on the way to claiming the silver medal at the B.C. Summer Games in Nanaimo.

The Zone 2 team dropped a 15-14 decision to Fraser Valley C (Zone 3) in the championship game on Sunday, with the winners scoring the deciding point with less than a minute remaining.

“We had two opportunities to tie it up, but we just couldn’t get it (the ball) to drop,” said 13-year-old Benjamin Hitchens of Kelowna, who scored seven of his team’s points in the final.
