A’s Duo Selected For Team BC

How far the Okanagan Athletics will be playing into the summer has yet to be determined, but two players on the Kelowna-based B.C. Premier (Midget) Baseball League team know exactly where they’ll be for most of August.

Kelowna’s Trevor Lofstrom and Matt Brodt of Kaleden are among 20 players selected to play for Team BC at the 17-and-under Canada Cup in Saskatoon Aug. 6-11.

Lofstrom, following in the footsteps of his older brother Morgan, who also was a member of Team B.C. at the Canada Cup last year, will play first base and possibly some outfield for the provincial team, while Brodt will be one of at least six pitchers.
