KWSL Leaders Need Late Goals

First-place Mark V Autobody/Royal Star needed two second-half goals to retain their lead atop the standings in Week 15 of the Kelowna Women’s Soccer League.

Giving up the lone goal of the first half to Chrissy MacDonald of the Voyager RV Foxes, Mark V/Royal Star (12-2) took control of the match against the shorthanded Foxes (7-5-3) in the second to record a 2-1 Division 1 victory at Beasley Fields in Lake Country.

Ashlee Davison opened the scoring for the eventual winners, finishing a pass from Hailey Kirby, while Jessica Briker netted the winner, assisted by Cheryl Mallard.
