Shaw Cup Sweep For Lacrosse Raiders

Touted by general-manager Jules Morris as the most skilled lacrosse team he’s been involved with, the Kelowna Raiders swept the Armstrong Shamrocks in a best-of-three final series to win the Shaw Cup on Friday in Armstrong.

The Raiders defeated the Shamrocks 10-6 at the NorVal Arena, following up a 15-11 win in Kelowna on Tuesday to clinch the series and defend their Thompson-Okanagan Senior C Lacrosse League championship.

Joe Brown scored three times and rookie goaltender Tanner Belsham came through with a superb game between the posts to lead the Raiders to the Shaw Cup repeat.
