Record Numbers At Popular Tournament

A record-number 133 teams played 583 games at the recent Kelowna Canada Day Soccer Tournament.

Hosted by the Rutland Youth Soccer Association, it was estimated that 10,000 people were attracted to the Okanagan — from Penticton to Vernon — for the 10th annual event, including girls and boys teams from the under-11 to U-18 division.

Teams from throughout B.C. and Calgary took part in the three days of soccer, playing on the Rutland, Mission and KLO Sports Fields.
