Two graduates of the productive Mt. Boucherie Secondary School football program are moving on to the Simon Fraser University Clan this fall.
Defensive back Ben Minaker and slot receiver Hayden Keller have signed on for a five-year scholarship with the NCAA Div. 2 team. They’ll redshirt for their first season.
“These two guys are the hardest-working and most intelligent players Mt. Boucherie has produced,” said veteran head coach Mike Godwin. “Now that Jacques Chapdelaine (former B.C. Lions offensive coach) is at the helm, the Clan’s recruiting strategy seems to be putting more emphasis on intelligent players — in the classroom and on the field. Ben and Hayden certainly fit into that mold.”

Receiver Hayden Keller is described by his Mt. Boucherie coach, Mike Godwin, as an excellent route-running receiver who has tremendous hands. "He is one of those guys who gets open and is so reliable in catching the ball."
