United U-16s Claim BC Soccer Cup

A third attempt at a provincial championship proved a winning formula for the Kelowna United under-16 boys soccer team in Richmond on the weekend.

The Central Okanagan Youth Soccer Association team won four straight games to capture the BC Soccer Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial Cup at Hugh Boyd Secondary School.

A 2-1 victory over Prince George in the title match on Sunday capped the perfect tournament for the Thompson-Okanagan Youth Soccer League representatives.
