Young Guns Meet in Futures Final

Billed as a launching pad for professional tennis players in their quest to compete in ATP and Grand Slam events, the ITF Kelowna Futures Tennis tournament appears to be living up to its reputation.

Two of the young guns poised to make their mark in the bigs will meet for the singles title today at the Parkinson Recreation Centre courts.

No. 1-seed Filip Peliwo of Vancouver and Australia’s Benjamin Mitchell, seeded No. 2 going into the 32-man main draw this week, will play for tournament title beginning at 1 p.m.
