Kelowna Falcons' shortstop Will Fox (Texas Christian University) throws out a Wenatchee AppleSox batter in the third inning of their West Coast League East Division game at Elks Stadium on Friday. The visitors won the game 9-1.
The visiting Wenatchee AppleSox broke out of a three-game losing slide in a big way at Kelowna’s Elks Stadium on Friday.
The AppleSox tagged three Kelowna Falcons pitchers for 14 hits on the way to a 9-1 West Coast (Baseball) League victory.
The East Division’s second-place AppleSox (14-11) scored all the runs they would need off starter Josh Nuernberg, who, despite scattering seven Wenatchee hits and striking out six over six innings, took the pitching loss.
