Fireworks Highlight Falcons' Loss

Fireworks opened and closed an eventful night at Elks Stadium on Thursday.

A three-run first inning sparked the visiting Yakima Valley Pippins to their third straight West Coast (Baseball) League victory over the Falcons, while the third annual Firefighters Night culminated an impressive fireworks display.

The early explosion was all the Pippins needed on the way to a 6-1 triumph and the post-game fireworks were part of a Falcons promotion that raised more than $21,000 for the Professional Firefighters Charitable Society.
