Falcons Fall To Hard-hitting Yakima

Four pitchers surrendered 14 hits as the Kelowna Falcons fell 12-4 to the Yakima Valley Pippins in West Coast (Baseball) League play on Wednesday at Elks Stadium.

The visiting Pippins broke open a scoreless game in fifth inning against Falcons starter,Matthew Moriarty (New Mexico State University), scoring three runs on six hits and a pair of walks.

On the way to improving to 8-6 in the East Division of the WCL, the second-place Pippins added five runs in the sixth inning with the help of Vince Fernandez’s second two-run homer in as many nights at Elks.
