Falcons Home For Three

Salvaging a 3-3 record on their second road trip of the season, the Kelowna Falcons will open a three-game homestand on Tuesday against the Yakima Valley Pippins.

The Falcons sit at 6-9 in the East Division of the West Coast (Baseball) League going into the series, but they’re just three games back of the division-leading Wenatchee AppleSox (9-6) and 1 1/2 games behind the second-place Pippins.

Using their final nine outs to perfection, the Falcons overcame a 2-0 deficit on Sunday for a 5-2 win over the host Corvallis Knights.

Tuesday’s probable starter for the Falcons will be Kevin Flemer (0-1). He’ll throw out the first pitch at Elks Stadium at 6:35 p.m.
