Kelowna Jays, New Coach Host Jr. Champs

Sporting a new head coach with a familiar face, the Kelowna WCA Jays will play host to the defending B.C.-champion Burnaby Bulldogs this weekend.

Jared Johnson and the Jays appear to be in for their stiffest test of the baseball season at Elks Stadium on Saturday and Sunday. They’ll play a pair of doubleheaders against the provincial junior-champion Bulldogs, a team featuring mostly Douglas College players.

Game starts on Saturday are 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., while Sunday’s games begin at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
