Dealer cashed out in traffic stop

The RCMP has one man in custody and they expect to lay charges against a second individual following a traffic stop on Highway 1 in Salmon Arm Friday.

Shortly before 4 p.m. police say a member noticed a vehicle being driven by a female the officer knew did not have a valid driver's license.

Investigation led to the discovery and seizure of more than 31 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of heroin, crack cocaine and over $1,600 in cash.

The woman was detained. Drug trafficking charges are being contemplated.

A male passenger was found to have outstanding warrants and was arrested at the scene.
