Police had been looking for the suspect since shortly after the incident and two officers attended a BC Government office on the north shore when she was spotted entering the building.
The woman was brought back to the RCMP detachment and was held overnight pending her first appearance in court today. Police have filed a report with the Provincial Crown recommending charges of Break and Enter and Disguising Face With Intent.
Three masked men and one masked woman, armed with bear spray and edged weapons, had forced their way into the Kemano St home and stole a variety of household items including electronics, videos, a wallet and purse with contents along with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The woman is known to the occupants of the residence. The police investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information about these suspects is asked to call the Kamloops RCMP (250) 828-3000 or Crimestoppers 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
