Lake Country RCMP confiscated over 16 pounds of pot during a drug bust on Wednesday.
Lake Country RCMP made a sizable drug bust on Wednesday, arresting two people in the process.
Officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 13000 block of Okanagan Centre Road West in Lake Country.
Once inside, RCMP investigators seized over 16 pounds of packaged marijuana bud, in 33 half pound bags, and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Charges are being recommended against a 45 year old man and woman of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Both persons were released on a Promise to Appear and are scheduled to appear in Kelowna Provincial Court on February 16, 2012.
