Joint pain can happen to all of us regardless of age. To manage debilitating joint pain we need to deal with its causes. Many pain relief formulas on the market are effective at stopping the perception of joint pain, but may not help to heal the joint. Natural therapies are effective in alleviating both joint pain and poor joint healing.
The human body is amazing, with a natural ability to heal itself. The degree to which that innate ability is active determines how well we heal and how much pain we experience. The best way to resolve joint pain is to support healing, starting with healing nutrients. Two popular and effective nutritional supports for joints include glucosamine sulphate and MSM. Glucosamine sulphate feeds the load bearing surface of joints, known as cartilage, and the MSM feeds the ligaments and tendons. Unfortunately joint nutrition may not be enough to solve the problem of joint pain. Therapies that stimulate healing may be necessary, and an effective treatment to stimulate joint healing is medical ozone.
Medical ozone therapy modulates the immune system and stimulates your own ability to heal.
Ozone therapy has been used as a medical treatment since the late 1800s, and has been studied widely throughout Europe. In Dr. Velio Bocci’s textbook “Oxygen-Ozone Therapy, A Critical Evaluation” he details the biochemical actions of ozone and explains why ozone therapy has been successful in treating vascular and infectious diseases, as well as degenerating joints.
I became interested in the healing potential of ozone therapy while in naturopathic medical school, and I became Board Certified in Ozone Therapy almost ten years ago. Since then I have successfully treated a wide variety of joint problems with ozone therapy, including neck and back pain, TMJ jaw pain, as well as painful shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, and ankles. I have seen some amazing improvements, such as the resolution of plantar faciitis, a painful condition affecting the connective tissue of the bottom of the foot.
If you or someone you know is suffering from joint pain, start with nutritional support and consider stimulating joint healing with medical ozone treatments.
