Municipal Elections 2014

West Kelowna forum tonight

The Shannon Lake Neighbourhood Association will host a community-wide all candidates forum tonight (Wednesday).

The forum begins at 7 p.m. at Mar Jok Elementary School on McDougall Road.

The SLNA believes in a strong municipal government and one of the best ways to achieve that is to have candidates get their message out so the democratic process can properly work.

This election is for four year terms which means it is critical that the best council is voted in.

It will be a long time before any changes can be made.

The All Candidates forum has confirmed attendance of the candidates.

The forum will allow for each candidate to do an introduction, followed by four random questions for each mayoral candidate and two random questions for each councilor candidate.

There will also be an opportunity for questions from the floor.

The forum will be moderated by the local CBC host, Chris Walker.

Please attend the forum to hear what the incumbents are thinking moving forward and to get to know and put faces to the challengers!
