Jakubeit leads in poll

 

Andrew Jakubeit held a small lead over John Vassilaki in a Castanet poll on Penticton mayoral candidates.

288 people had responded to the poll by Monday afternoon and Jakubeit had 47.57 per cent of the votes.

Vassilaki was in the lead for most of Sunday but ended up with 43.4 per cent by Monday.

The third candidate, Jukka Laurio received 9.06 per cent of the votes.

It would be the first term as mayor for all of these candidates, both of whom have been councillors for several terms. 

The municipal election will be held Nov. 15.
