Alberta - where did the money go?
Oct 2, 2013 / 5:16 pm
I recently read the article on Billion dollar help for Alberta. Where is their cash surplus from the oil patch that they claim to have? Where is all the "EXTRA" money that Alberta claims to have as a 'have' province?
Is the Alberta government telling lies to their taxpayers? If the government has such a surplus where is it? I think that the Alberta government is in the same boat as the car manufacturers were when they applied to the president of the US for loans to fix their companies.
This was a "NATURAL" disaster. They happen! Does every town, city and hamlet cry when there is a disaster? No....they buckel up their belt and go on. Where do people think that disaster funds came from?
This is a federal or provincial issue depending on what body declared the emergency situation. We had one recently in Black Mountain area and it was declared an emergency area and help was dispatched.
The part that so many people seem to not get is that there will be bills to pay and someone or somebody or bodies will have to pick up the tab. Most of the time it is the taxpayers. I think that your news people need to do a little more research and tell the true story and NOT be news mongers or what I call whore mongers that are exiting the sheep out there.
If readers are buying into the poor me Alberta story...they need to do more homework as well as the news gatherers.
