Log boom danger
Oct 2, 2013 / 5:13 pm
Why is it the government allowing the Westside log booms to be out, without proper safety marking for night boating. Unfortunate that a life has been lost because of it! We have hit the same log boom 5 yrs. ago at night, we were lucky, no injuries but the boat was a total write off. I am sure there is more, that have had the same fate.
Is it not common sense to put lighting and warning devices on the floating hazards? Seems all the boat docks have some sort of lighting, and they are not 400ft from shore.
Spending millions of dollars on boat safety, impact studies etc. Why not spend a few dollars and mark the hazards, that are all over this beautiful lake!!
