Service not on Target
Aug 28, 2013 / 7:38 am
I would like to share my experience last night in the Kelowna Target store. I had three items to purchase & there were three cashiers open; the express/return cashier and two regular cashiers. Both the regular cashier lines were lined up with customers making large purchases, so I chose the express/return cashier where there were only two customers in line.
The cashier was struggling a return so I left and chose the next shortest line. After waiting there a couple of minutes, the cashier phoned someone to tell them she was off in five minutes and they needed to open another cashier.
A minute or so later she phoned them again and repeated she was off in five and that she would only take the next two customers. She then hung up the phone, looked at me and said that she would only be taking the next two customers, shocked as I was already in line before this call, I questioned her did she mean she would not be helping me? She said she was off in five minutes and would not help me; I should go to the express/return cashier.
Normally when a cashier has to close they (a) either put up a closed sign and finish with their line-up or (b) call someone to open up a new line and that person takes over the line up.
If that is the way Kelowna Target is going to treat their customers, good luck in keeping this store open!
