Well done Cove dock hand
Aug 17, 2013 / 9:27 am
We were boating yesterday near West Kelowna.
Unfortunately, we suffered an engine fire and our vessel was disabled. There were a number of boats within hailing distance and every one quickly motored away rather than offering assistance.
It was at this point that a young employee of the jet ski rental facility at The Cove, having seen our situation came to our assistance. He kindly took us in tow, brought us to our dock and would not accept payment.
That friends is how we should act towards our neighbors rather than running at the first sign of trouble. Shame on the boaters who turned a blind eye and job well done to the staff at West Kelowna Marine.
